The climate in Greenland is very cool—and there are plenty of things to do in this cool weather. The Ice Sheet in the country is a popular geographic feature in Greenland; this giant ice cap in estimated to be more than 100,000 years old in some parts. Two or three million years ago, this giant ice sheet covered a huge part of the country. At present, you can go on a guided trek of this ice sheet if you are seeking an adrenaline rush.

Whale watching

Greenland is home to several whale species, which visitors can see during the summer and the winter. Minke, fin, and humpback whales are common sights in the waters of Greenland during the warmer months, while winter visitors can see bowhead and beluga whales, as well as the magnificent narwhals.

Sunshine in the midnight

The unique geographic location of Greenland ensures unique experiences—including the famed midnight sun. This natural yet strange phenomenon often occurs in the northern regions of the Arctic Circle, and can last from a single day to five whole months. In Greenland, you can experience the midnight sun from May to July. The interesting Greenlandic lanscape is bathed in a myriad of colors—surely a sight that would take your breath away.
