Thailand Information

The Kingdom of Thailand, known in history as Siam, is one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia. It is easy to understand why millions of tourists flock to this country every year—Thailand is home to stunning beaches, a long history reflected in its interesting and colorful culture, and some of the friendliest people in the region. Modern Thailand—especially the capital, Bangkok—is cosmopolitan and chic, with remnants of the past accentuating this modernity instead of contrasting with it. Plus, the dramatic landscapes and architecture, as well as the balmy weather, is a perfect cure for the winter blues.

Nature’s bounty

Thailand is one of the best ecotourism destinations in Southeast Asia, with pristine natural parks coexisting with modern infrastructure. The Khao Yi National Park is a popular destination for tourists, where they could see majestic elephants roaming around the lush forests surrounding the Packhong Creek. If you go on a guided tour, you can sample delicious local fruits plucked fresh from trees, and see local animals such as leopards, tigers, and black bears. But the best thing about a guided tour of the Khao Yi National Park is the elephant ride—definitely an experience you would never forget!

Vacation for the soul

This Southeast Asian is also well-known among international visitors for the large number of spas and wellness centers, many of them located near the stunning Thai beaches. Thai massage is actually one of the most popular traditions of massage, with practitioners being well-versed in the centuries-old art. Expect to have your energy lines reinvigorated and have the vacation your city-worn soul deserves. The spas near the beaches of Pattaya, Samui, and Phuket are especially popular, but if you are staying in the city, you can get your Thai massage fix on massage parlors in Chiang Mai and Bangkok.
